ShipShape Genesis Theme

ShipShape is a custom Genesis theme that has a simple, clean, and flexible design allowing you to focus on site content. It incorporates most elements of Mobile Responsive Design so that the theme automatically adjusts based on the viewing screen size. It should look good and proportional on most desktops, laptops, and tablet computers.

The Shipshape was inspired by the Genesis Minimum and News Themes and also from NicktheGeek’s Fluid Theme.

The layout and “feel” of the theme would make it suitable for all types of websites and blogs such as affiliate marketing websites, arts, crafts, music, photography, education, technology, and personal blogging.

    • Static header. The primary navigation bar and the header which consists of the title, description, and header right sidebar remains static in the browser and therefore it is always visible, even upon scrolling. This means that important messages and creative can be placed in the header right sidebar and they will always remain visible to the user.
    • Mobile Responsive Design featuring a flexible grid. The theme automatically adjusts based on browser size.

  • Enhanced Home page featuring: -
    • Announcement Box
    • Welcome sidebar

    • Featured sidebar.  By using the Genesis Featured Posts widget, you can incorporate your blog posts right into the home page of the website!
    • Portfolio sidebar.
  • If the home page sidebars, listed above, are not activated, then the blog (chronological posts) is automatically shown. This gets you up-and-running fast without having to think too much about the home page content.
  • Primary and Secondary navigation menus. The primary navigation sits on top of each page, above the header, whilst the secondary navigation bar, if used, would float immediately below the header area.
  • Drop-down menus and sub-menus.
  • 6 page layout options (full width, content/sidebar, sidebar/content, sidebar/content/sidebar, sidebar/sidebar/content and content/sidebar/sidebar).
